Just Talkin' Allis Chalmers
There is a museum ...The State Historical Society of Wisconsin's Stonefield Villiage and Ag museum, at Cassville Wi. Cassville which is a little north of Dubuque, IA.   They've got  various posters on display, the original Allis Chalmers U on rubber, an Allis 10-18 tricycle, among other tractors and implements in the museum.  It will only take about  half an hour to go through the ag display at the museum which is really not very big at all but well worth the trip. There's also a historical villiage at this location.

No doubt most of you have heard of Norm Swinford, author of Allis-Chalmers Farm Equipment 1914-1985, Allis-Chalmers Construction Machinery and Industrial Equipment, and A Guide to Allis-Chalmers Farm Tractors--all published by the American Society of Agricultural Engineers.  Norm is now working on a book about New Holland for A.S.A.E.

Norm needs contacts and information on New Holland.  I promised to see what I could stir up for him on the ATIS lists.  (Norm has the computer equipment he needs to access the Internet, but he prefers just to use his computer for writing.)

I am trying to compile for Norm a list of contacts of folks who have pre-1980's sales literature, manuals or other paraphenalia on New Holland equipment or who have experience with New Holland in sales, engineering--or other ways that might help Norm with his book.

If you or someone you know might be able and willing to help Norm, could you send me contact information to pass along to Norm?  You could e-mail me at erdmanne@idcnet.com with:

1.  name
2.  address  (For security, you can skip the "snail mail" address if you wish.)
3.  telephone number
4.  some idea of what old New Holland information, sales literature, experience you have.

I will compile a printed list of the information and take it to Norm.
